1968 Carlos Mª La Cava,
founder of Estabilidad S.A. sets up the business within
the framework of international trade.
1985 Formal establishment
of the Carlos María La Cava company and registration
before the Executive Power and Customs National Division
as a Customs Dispatcher.
1990 Establishment of Negocios
MAFI S.R.L. company dealing with imports and exports
activities.
1991 Foundation of Estabilidad
S.A. company and start up of operations as an indirect
user of Colonia Free Zone, offering storage and logistics
services.
1992 Start up of operations
of Estabilidad S.A. as an indirect user of Montevideo
Free Zone.
1993 Negocios MAFI S.R.L.
adds to its activities, land freight services.
1994 Estabilidad S.A. starts to operate as a
direct user at Montevideo Free Zone with its own warehouses
which have a storage surface of 650 M2.
1995 Installation of the
VHF communications systems between the Head Office located
in Montevideo's downtown and the main office at Montevideo
Free Zone.
1997 Extension of the physical
infrastructure of the Head Office located in Montevideo´s
downtown through the acquisition of 200 M2 in offices
in the annex building of Palacio Taranco (declared National
Historical Property).
1998 Estabilidad S.A. expands
the storage capacity to 2004 M2 of its new facilities.
1999 Interconnection of computing
nets of the head office with the main office at Montevideo
Free Zone.
Carlos María La Cava company becomes the leader
in transit operations in Uruguay
2000 For a second consecutive
year Carlos María La Cava company becomes the
leader in transit operations.
Installation of a communications server at the head-office
which links the telephone switchboards of Montevideo´s
downtown and Montevideo Free Zone through multiplexes
and a direct digital line of high speed.
The Uruguayan Chamber of Software certifies that all
the computing programs used by Carlos María La
Cava company are legal.
2001 Start up of a vigorous
company restructuring and reorganization process in
order to establish quality systems and to implement
a Strategic Development Plan, with local and regional
implications.
Start up of negotiations in order to create strategic
alliances with prestigious firms dealing with storage
logistics, distribution and foreign trade and to strengthen
our commercial relation with our customers and suppliers.
2002 Creation of a warehouse
of 12000 m2 builded in an area of 45000 m2 devoted to
offer integral logistics and distribution solutions,
both operative and administrative in Uruguay. Between
our services we underline: storage operations, order
preparation, added value, packing and distribution of
the goods to final consumers. We specialize in the handling
of raw materials, final consumer goods, pharmaceutical,
veterinarian, alimentary and Uruguayan export products.
2003 This year started the
audit necessary to achieve the UNIT-ISO 9001 norm. Many
of our employees where trained in the audit of Quality
Systems; this training entitles them to practise as
Quality Auditors behalf the “Instituto Uruguayo
de Normas Técnicas” (UNIT).
We incorporated to our fleet an isothermic truck equipped
to maintain controlled and refrigerated temperatures.
